Teck Resources Limited and Anglo American plc announce they have reached an agreement to combine the two companies in a merger of equals ("the Merger") to form the Anglo Teck group ("Anglo Teck"), a global critical minerals champion and top five global copper producer, headquartered in Canada and expected to offer investors more than 70% exposure to copper1.At completion of the Merger, each class A common share and class B subordinate voting share of Teck will be exchanged for 1.3301 ordinary shares of Anglo American. The Merger is expected to close within 12-18 months.
